Garlic Basil Butter

  • 4 tbsp ‏butter
  • 2 tbsp ‏minced fresh garlic
  • 1 heaping tbsp ‏dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp ‏granulated onion
  • ‏salt and pepper to taste

This butter is great softened and spread on bread, or melted on top of vegetables after they come out of the oven, but my favorite way is melted down on the grill and basted over meat and vegetables.

Place all ingredients into an oven safe dish. If you are using the butter as a spread, make sure it is soft and thoroughly mixed. If you are using it for basting, simply place on the grill grates until it is melting and brush over everything that might need a bit more flavor.


This is by far my favorite brand of spices. They are bold and fresh even when dried.

This granulated onion just adds a little extra flavor! Even my friends who dislike onions don’t know what the flavor is, but they like it.
